Sacred Washoe Site: Cave Rock preserved

The US Appeals court upheld the Forest Service's ban on climbing at Cave Rock on Lake Tahoe. This is bad news if you're a rock climber in the Tahoe area, but good news if you support Indigenous Peoples Rights to sacred areas.

The interesting aspect of this story is that highway 50 is drilled right though the rock in question. If you've ever driven around the east side of Lake Tahoe, you have passed through the tunnel(s) which go through Cave Rock.
